Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing and thriving dental practice!! We have a hygienist who has been with us for over 20 years retiring and are looking to find someone to replace her. We are sad to see her go, but excited for her to enjoy time with her family!! The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care and assist in various dental procedures while promoting oral health. Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene services and procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist - Conduct oral health assessments, including taking patient histories and charting conditions - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative instructions - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Take and develop dental x-rays - Clean teeth, remove plaque, and tartar buildup - Apply fluoride treatments and sealants - Maintain accurate patient records Qualifications: - Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Idaho - Proficiency in using dental software programs - Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and HIPAA regulations - Familiarity with dental office procedures and infection control protocols - Ability to take vital signs and adhere to aseptic techniques This part-time position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.
