We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our amazing team. We are a private practice that have been serving our patients in downtown Orlando and surrounding communities for over 8 years. We pride ourselves on excellency in care and service. This position is for a full-time position with clinical hours Monday-Thursday. Please see further details below: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Full time position in a private practice setting. Florida EFDA license & x-ray certification required. Minimum of 2 years of chair side assisting experience preferred. Benefits included after probationary period is met: Paid time off for vacation available Paid holidays off Job Type: Full-time Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination and treatment Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentist with appropriate dental procedures for various diseases Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Assistant or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication and computer skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Benefit Conditions: Waiting period may apply Only full-time employees eligible CDA/RDA License Required: Yes Duties: Assisting chair-side Taking records, impressions, or x-rays Using computers to update electronic patient records Assisting with lab tasks as needed Work Remotely No Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $26.50 per hour Expected hours: 32 – 35 per week Benefits: Paid time off Work Location: In person
