About Us Robin Lambert Mells, DDS is a small, relationship-driven practice focused on prevention, comfort, and conservative care. You’ll work directly with the owner-dentist and a tight-knit team that values clinical excellence, enough time with each patient, and a calm, on-time schedule. The Role As our RDH, you’ll deliver exceptional preventive and periodontal care while educating patients and collaborating closely with the doctor on diagnosis and treatment plans. What You’ll Do Provide comprehensive hygiene care: adult/child prophylaxis, periodontal charting, SRP/periodontal maintenance, locally delivered antimicrobials as indicated. Take and evaluate digital radiographs, capture intraoral photos, and assist with caries/perio risk assessments. Deliver clear, empathetic patient education (home care, nutrition, prevention, periodontal health). Maintain meticulous clinical notes in the EHR (Eaglesoft). Uphold OSHA/CDC infection-control standards; instrument sterilization and operatory turnover. Coordinate with front office on recall/continuing care, treatment acceptance, and scheduling. What You’ll Bring Active RDH license in the State of CA; current BLS/CPR . Proficiency with ultrasonics, hand instrumentation, perio charting, and digital radiography. Strong communication skills and a gentle, patient-first chairside manner. Reliability, integrity teamwork, and attention to detail. Schedule & Compensation Part-time to start (Wednesday 9-3, Friday8-5 - some flexibility in days/hours may be possible) Opportunity to add days as the hygiene department grows. Competitive hourly compensation $50-65, plusPTO accrual and employee dental as applicable. How We Work Patient-centered timing (no double-booking). Typical adult prophy ~60 minutes ; SRP ~60 minutes per quadrant (adjusted as clinically indicated), new patient appointments in hygiene ~120 minutes Collaborative, low-drama culture with clear systems and support.
