Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices and familiarity with dental software systems. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records. Manage appointment scheduling and patient communications as a dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary. Maintain an organized and clean work environment to ensure patient safety and comfort. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with general dentistry practices, including pediatrics, is a plus. Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding is advantageous. Ability to take vital signs accurately. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
