Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Somerville, MA
Our office is seeking a friendly, bright, and self-motivated Dental Assistant with surgical training or experience to join our dynamic clinical team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced clinicians in a technologically advanced, patient-centered practice , and to further develop your surgical and prosthodontic skills. Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for surgical and restorative procedures. Set up and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and operatory environments. Assist chairside during implant surgeries, bone grafting, and prosthodontic procedures. Capture and process radiographs, CBCT scans, and intraoral photographs. Provide post-operative instructions and patient education. Manage lab cases, impressions, and digital scans; track incoming and outgoing cases. Maintain strict infection-control and OSHA compliance standards. Perform other related clinical and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 1â2 years of dental assisting experience (surgical or implant experience strongly preferred). Proficiency with dental and surgical instruments, sterilization, and aseptic techniques. Current Radiology certification and Dental Assisting license as required by state regulations. Familiarity with digital workflows (CEREC, intraoral scanners, or Invisalign experience is a plus). Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
