Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental and experience in various dental specialties, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry, will be highly valued. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for creating digital impressions when applicable. Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental or similar dental software systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential. Familiarity with Open Dental management software is a plus. Understanding of infection control standards in a dental setting. Experience in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role. Radiology Certification is required.
