Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in both clinical and administrative tasks, making it essential for candidates to have a strong background in dental assisting and familiarity with relevant technologies. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming visits, and providing excellent customer service as a dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain infection control protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques. Assist with medical documentation, including maintaining medical records and coding as necessary. Support pediatric dentistry efforts by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and their families. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations while demonstrating knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry practices. Experience At least 1 years Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and ability to take vital signs is beneficial. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential.
