We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth operation within the dental clinic. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a sterile environment. Responsibilities Assist dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take appropriate radiographs as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix. Perform chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Assist with surgical procedures. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as a dental receptionist when required. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging when necessary. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements. Preferred Skills Proficient in EMR systems, specifically Dentrix. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices. Familiarity with X-ray technology and medical imaging techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques. Experience with dental documentation, records management, and dental coding is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining a sterile environment. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
