Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, high energy dental assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be taking on a one assistant office and will need to be able to multi-task throughout the day. Seaside Dental is a small, growing office with one doctor, one hygienist, and one assistant. Duties will include, but not limited to: Assisting the doctor with all dental procedures (root canal, extractions, crown and bridge, implant surgery, scanning for prosthetics as well as taking impressions, fillings, etc.) Organizing instruments and supplies Compiling an order list Sterilization Note-taking and treatment planning Key qualities of the ideal candidate include: Dependability Multi Tasker Punctual Attention to detail Strong communication skills Excellent organization skills Ability to work independently Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience and be able to perform basic dental assisting tasks such as making temporary crown and bridges, taking x-rays, taking impressions, and reviewing treatment plans with patients. Hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 4pm. Closed Friday - Sunday Note: Candidate will start out as the sole assistant for the office and must be able to work independently until the practice grows to a point that a second assistant will be hired.
