Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - Core Pediatric Dentistry - Pittsburgh, PA

Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist and hygienists during dental procedures and hygiene appointments - Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment - Take dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and medical documentation in Dentrix - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records - Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - X-ray certification - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with dental/medical coding and billing processes - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Please note that experience in pediatrics and familiarity with Dentrix electronic health record system are preferred but not required.
