The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in educating patients about oral hygiene practices and ensuring their comfort during visits. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning procedures with precision. Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental hygiene practices. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, with familiarity in using EMR systems such as Dentrix. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control measures. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary. A valid Dental Hygienist license is required.
