Overview We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate Treatment Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as a vital link between patients and providers, managing treatment plans, insurance verifications, and medical documentation with professionalism and accuracy. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of dental terminology and billing procedures. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. The Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Coordinate patient treatment plans, ensuring clarity and adherence to clinical protocols Manage insurance verification, authorization, and billing processes using systems such as Dentrix, Dexis, Insurance portals. Review and update medical records accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance Assist patients with intake procedures, appointment scheduling, and front desk duties including multi-line phone system management and patient service excellence Perform dental collection activities and ensure proper ADA coding, and documentation review for billing purposes Communicate effectively with patients regarding care plans, insurance coverage, and follow-up appointments Maintain thorough knowledge of dental/medical terminology, Medicare regulations, and health information management practices Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and customer service to foster a welcoming environment for patients Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred, especially in dental or hospital settings Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms Knowledge of medical billing procedures including ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, insurance verification, and Medicare regulations Strong understanding of medical terminology related to both general healthcare and dental services Experience with health information management systems like eClinicalWorks or Dentrix is advantageous Bilingual skills are highly desirable to support diverse patient populations Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with familiarity with multi-line phone systems and office management software This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient care coordination while working in a professional healthcare environment that values accuracy, efficiency, and compassionate service.
