Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care. Looking for candidates with availability Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding, in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all dental instruments are sterilized properly. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general dentistry and specialized areas such as prosthodontics and endodontics. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is advantageous. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques is essential. Experience with chairside assisting and 3D scanning technology is a plus. Understanding of medical terminology, infection control measures, and vital signs monitoring will be beneficial.
