Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in West Palm Beach, FL

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, along with pediatric dentistry expertise, is highly preferred. The Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent oral disease Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and vital signs Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment options Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed through aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols Review medical records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy Support general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry needs as required Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and address concerns promptly Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes Experience in dental office settings, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging accurately Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including pediatrics Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and medical records management Effective communication skills to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Join our team to contribute to improving patientsâ oral health while working in a professional, supportive environment committed to excellence in dental care.
