Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children. Responsibilities Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Dentrix. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment for all patients. Work collaboratively with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care. Stay informed about advancements in pediatric dentistry and dental hygiene practices. Skills Proficient in medical records management and familiar with Dentrix software. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Experience or interest in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to apply aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Solid understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
