Dental Hygienist - Summit Dental Arts - Binghamton, NY

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to take excellent care of our patients. Our busy, family practice office is built on trust and teamwork. Dental Hygienist duties revolve around conducting initial patient screenings, prophylaxis, S&RP and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. As a Dental Hygienist, you must be reliable and able to build trust with patients. If you love taking care of patients of all ages in a friendly environment, we’d like to meet you. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable during their appointment Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis and tx plan appropriately Educate patients of all ages on proper OH Take X-rays and dental impressions Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Sterilize dental instruments properly Monitor supplies Skills In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $35.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Work Location: In person
