Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and assisting in various dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to ensure a comfortable and efficient experience. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical records, taking vital signs, and conducting detailed patient assessments. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and patient management. Assist in chairside procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to support the dentist during treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure infection control within the dental clinic. Conduct medical imaging as required for diagnostic purposes. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in general dentistry. Qualifications Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation review. Knowledge of medical coding is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing excellent patient care.
