Registered Dental Hygienist - Family Dental Associates - Frederick, MD

Part-time ( Mondays Or Fridays Or Both ) position for licensed, Registered Dental Hygienist in small, friendly general practice near downtown Frederick. We are seeking a caring, friendly, team player to join our dental family. Hours: Mondays 8:45 to 4:30 and Fridays 8:45 to 2:00 Competitive salary. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques Take X-rays Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice Work Remotely No Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 7 – 12 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Paid time off Education: Associate (Required) Experience: Dental Hygienist: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Driver's license (Required) Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Frederick, MD 21701 (Required) Work Location: In person
