Pediatric Dental Assistant – Full Time Economy Dentistry for Children – Jacksonville, FL (Dunn Avenue Location) About the Role Our Dunn Avenue office is a fast-paced, high-volume pediatric practice. We are looking for a dental assistant who thrives in a busy environment, takes initiative, adapts quickly, and can handle clear, straightforward direction. If you are confident, skilled in pediatric procedures, and motivated this is the right office for you. Key Responsibilities Assist the pediatric dentist with exams, restorations, sealants, and preventive procedures Take high-quality diagnostic x-rays efficiently and accurately Maintain strict sterilization and infection-control standards Clean, restock, and organize your operatory and instruments throughout the day Prepare treatment rooms before and after each patient Chart and document patient information with accuracy and attention to detail Maintain a calm, reassuring, and professional chairside manner with children and parents Communicate effectively with a team that values reliability, speed, and professionalism What We’re Looking For 1–3 years of dental assisting experience preferred Pediatric experience ideal, but adaptable general dental assistants are welcome X-ray certification required EFDA certification required Work Habits & Behavior Must arrive on time daily ( 7:00 a.m. start ) Flexibility to stay a little past 4:00 p.m. as needed Why This Office?
