We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic team player who is friendly and helps patients feel at ease. We have 2 offices--1 in South Haven and 1 in St. Joseph. This position is mainly for our St. Joseph office, but candidate may also work in the South Haven location as needed. -Applicant must be fully capable in all aspects of dental assisting and should have a current license -Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred -Attention to detail -Responsible, trustworthy, and able to stay on schedule -This position is for 4-5 days per week. Essential Functions: Preparing and maintaining treatments rooms and equipment including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and burs, setting up trays, and cleaning treatment rooms. Assisting the dentist in the treatment of patients. Taking digital X-rays. Charting treatment plans. Preparing impressions and/or models and coordinating all aspects of lab cases. Maintaining the stock of all the treatment rooms. Representing the practice in a professional manner, focusing on the needs of the patients. Working respectfully and cooperatively with management, co-workers, patients, and vendors. Handling any other duties as assigned.
