Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental hygiene practices. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and conducting oral examinations. Administer preventive dental care, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and document all patient interactions in compliance with practice protocols. Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling, patient management, and record keeping. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures when necessary, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients. Follow aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in general dentistry practices. Requirements Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to dental hygiene practices. Proficiency in aseptic techniques and infection control procedures. Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental office software is advantageous.
