Surgery Control Technician (Dental Assistant w/OR Experience or Sterile Processing - Five Points Surgery Center - Greenfield, IN

Job Description Five Points Surgery Center is Indiana's first Pediatric Dental ASC. We are looking for a part-time Surgery Control Position (with the ability to go full-time once case counts increase). Job duties include instrumentation sterilization, turning over operating rooms and assisting the pediatric dental team. Duties to include: -Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with OSHA infection control policies for the protection of patients, self and co-workers. -Maintains dental/surgical equipment, instructions, handpieces, burs, etc. by proper care, cleaning and sterilization according to OSHA standards and manufacturer's instructions. -Prepares all instrument packs, handpieces, burs, etc. and distributes to operating rooms. -Assist with cleaning of rooms between cases and terminal cleaning -Keeps the ORs on schedule, noting when the room is clean and ready. -Ensure necessary equipment is available by continually maintaining surgical inventory. -promotes professionalism in the workplace. -performs other duties as assigned. Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent Certified Dental Assistant/ Sterile Processing or Surgical Tech preferred. Knowledge of surgical/dental instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.
