Registered Dental Hygienist - Carolyn J Morin DDS PA - Farmingdale, ME

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health practices in a well established office. Duties include but are not limited to initial patient screenings, cleaning teeth, advising patients on oral health and preventative care, discussing treatment plans, completing sealants, working up dental emergencies, stocking supplies and many other related task to complete comprehensive patient care as a practice. You must be reliable and a team player who is able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible during and with upcoming treatments Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, periodontitis and caries Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instruction to patients on dental procedures Take X-rays and dental impressions Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor and order supplies Skills Valid dental hygiene license In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
