What youâll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment while adhering to infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process. Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning and instrument handling, to enhance the efficiency of procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care, fostering a positive patient experience. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Utilize Open Dental software for seamless record-keeping and communication. Basic qualifications Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures. Experience with 3D scanners and general dentistry techniques is a plus. Preferred qualifications Previous dental clinic experience is a plus Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
