Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, chairside assisting, and infection control practices. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Open Dental is highly desirable, along with proficiency in general dentistry. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and assist with medical documentation as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, fostering a positive patient experience. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when required. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards within the clinic environment. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when applicable, contributing to advanced diagnostic procedures. Qualifications Certification as a Dental Assistant is required; X-Ray and Radiology Certification is Required; Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Open Dental is highly advantageous. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology related to dental practices. Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry procedures is beneficial. Experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus. Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile environment. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
