Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take dental radiographs (X-ray images), ensuring accurate positioning and image quality while adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using electronic medical records, document treatment details accurately and securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures. Maintain infection control standards by practicing aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions clearly and compassionately. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks as needed. Use dental terminology accurately to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant and familiarity with general dentistry procedures is essential. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following established protocols. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Skilled in chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry methods to optimize workflow efficiency. Bilingual English Vietnamese is a must. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatments and oral health maintenance.
