Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Hoodsport, WA

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chairside assisting, dental terminology, and infection control protocols. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting dentists during procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental and Epic is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and patient safety. Duties Assist dentists with a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging as needed, adhering to aseptic techniques Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance Support infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Operate 3D scanners and other dental imaging equipment when required Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic workflow and excellent patient experience Maintain a professional demeanor as a dental receptionist when handling patient inquiries and scheduling appointments Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dentistry setting Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Open Dental or Epic is highly desirable Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanning technology Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting for various dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics Strong understanding of medical coding and records management for accurate documentation Prior experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to providing outstanding dental care.
