Overview * Hygienist position available one day of the week *Flexible day ( M, T, W or Th) * We're looking for a committed part-time experienced Dental Hygienist to become part of our vibrant dental practice. The perfect candidate will be instrumental in delivering exceptional dental care to our patients while prioritizing their comfort and satisfaction. In this Dental Hygienist position, your responsibilities will include conducting dental cleanings, providing patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, and supporting the dental team in offering outstanding care. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal charting. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Assess patientsâ periodontal health and record vital signs accurately. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as necessary. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. . Valid CPR certification. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical imaging procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties and utilize aseptic techniques effectively. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and data security. Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus; certification or training in pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and medical coding tasks.
