Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper imaging techniques are utilized. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients. Experience The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience or knowledge in pediatric dentistry to effectively communicate with children. Understanding of anatomy related to dental health. Proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Capability in medical imaging, particularly dental radiography. Previous experience in dental assisting or general dentistry practices is preferred. Knowledge of infection control measures to ensure patient safety. Basic understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures is advantageous. A passion for pediatrics and providing compassionate care to young patients.
