Dental Hygienist - Valley Dental Pediatrics - Vestal, NY

Our growing dental practice needs a Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit team. We serve children from infancy to adolescence, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we see many new patients and emergency appointments. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Job Summary This is an exciting opportunity for an eager applicant. We are a pediatric dental office in Vestal looking for a friendly and efficient dental hygienist with a positive "can-do" attitude to join our team immediately. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be a "fast thinker & multi-tasker". Prior experience is a plus but not required. We welcome new grads. Office Hours are Monday-Thursday 7:15AM-4:45PM, Friday 7:15AM-12:45PM Responsibilities and Duties Collect medical and dental histories from patients Chart dental conditions based on dentist's observations and evaluations Assist in sterilization Instruct patients of all ages on proper dental hygiene and care Take digital X-rays Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures Required experience and skills Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene required (Bachelor's preferred) Current state license required Experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred, we do welcome new grads!
