Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Utilize Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient documentation and management. Conduct vital signs checks and assist with medical imaging as needed. Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality care in general dentistry and specialized treatments. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices relevant to the field. Qualifications Valid Registered Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in four-handed dentistry being a plus. Proficient understanding of EMR systems and documentation processes related to patient care. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
