Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and patient management, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for all patients. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to ensure timely service. Support various dental specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, pediatrics, and more. Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and record keeping. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Familiarity with dental procedures, including endodontics and general dentistry practices. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding medical imaging techniques. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high standards of care.
