This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including children, to promote oral health and provide exceptional dental care in a friendly and supportive environment. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients, ensuring optimal oral hygiene. Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health. Take and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process. Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, providing comfort and support to young patients. Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Collaborate with dentists in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance patient care efficiency. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license from an accredited institution. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, particularly in pediatrics. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management software is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with attention to detail.
