Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice for Mondays &/or Thursdays. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical coding, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Assess and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and any relevant anatomical considerations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure optimal patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficiency in medical terminology, dental terminology, and systems related to oral health. Strong knowledge of anatomy as it pertains to dentistry.
