Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine dental health status. Perform a variety of dental procedures including but not limited to dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Provide pediatric dentistry services with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients. Utilize medical imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques to provide the best care possible. Skills Proficient in using dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix for patient management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and general dentistry practices. Ability to perform complex procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and other specialized treatments. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on patient assessment and comfort. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and practices within a dental clinic setting. Knowledge of anatomy related to dentistry, along with infection control measures necessary for safe practice. Prior experience in a dental office or clinic is highly desirable.
