Registered Dental Hygienist - Mid-Valley Dental Associates - Corvallis, OR

Overview Mid-Valley Dental Associates is a small company of nine dental locations located in Oregon's beautiful Willamette Valley. We are seeking a part-time dental hygienist to work at our Philomath and Corvallis locations who is passionate about helping others and interested in working in a patient-focused, team-oriented environment to grow your career and sharpen your skills. We are currently offering a sign on bonus of $1500 to be paid in three installments for a full time hygienist (1/3 at sign on, 1/3 at 3 months and 1/3 at 6 months of employment) *Pay is based on qualifications and experience . Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and debridement - Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) - Apply fluoride treatments and sealants - Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and proper dental care - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings - Assist the dentist during procedures as needed - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records - Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols - Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques Requirements: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program - Proficient in using dental software systems for patient management and charting - Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques - Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus - Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is a plus - Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Attention to detail and ability to work independently Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
