Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with experience in various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. This role involves providing exceptional chairside support, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. The Registered Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care within a modern dental clinic environment utilizing advanced technology and electronic health records systems. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed Take dental X-rays and medical imaging using digital systems and other radiographic equipment Provide chairside assistance during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices using appropriate dental terminology Support infection control measures by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment Collaborate with team members including dental receptionists to ensure smooth clinic operations Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure (EFDA licensure is advantageous) Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting Proficiency in EMR systems (preferably Eaglesoft and VixWin but not required) Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of general dentistry procedures as well as specialized fields like prosthodontics and endodontics is desirable Join our professional team committed to providing exceptional dental care through advanced technology and compassionate service.
