Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties by providing chairside support. Take dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using Dentrix; document treatment details accurately and update medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Maintain infection control protocols by following proper sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote ongoing wellness. Support the dental team with general clinic duties such as inventory management of supplies, maintaining a clean environment, and adhering to all safety guidelines. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is mandatory; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is mandatory Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and understanding of medical terminology enhances your ability to support complex procedures effectively. Hands-on experience with Dentrix is advantageous for seamless record management. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes ensures compliance with health regulations. Experience performing X-ray procedures (including digital radiography) and operating 3D scanners is desirable. Background in dentistry or working with patients is a plus for engaging young patients comfortably. Certification in chairside assisting or dental assisting a must! .
