Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that the patient is comfortable and informed. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist with prosthodontics procedures as needed, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Experience Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas: Dental assisting techniques and practices, including infection control measures. Proficiency in managing medical records while adhering to HIPAA standards. Experience using dental software systems such as OpenDental or Dentrix is preferred.
