Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Eugene, OR

Full Job Description We are looking for a dental assistant to complement our small team in our South Eugene dental office. The office has been serving patients for many years, and we have a wonderful patient base. Dental assistants should be well-organized, and have great attention for detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care, and be able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. We will require front office tasks when needed. Responsibilities Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Knowledgeable with Dentrix software is preferred Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; Completion of Dental Assisting Program is preferred but not required (depending on experience) Job Types: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30 per hour DOE Benefits: In office Dental Coverage Medical Reimbursement 401K PTO 6 paid holidays Schedule: 8 hour shift 4 days (Mon-Thurs) Education: Graduated from a dental assisting school Experience: Dental Assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: EFDA (Required) X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: One location We invite you to schedule an interview to view the office and discuss this unique opportunity.
