Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. Your expertise in dental terminology and techniques will help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages, particularly in pediatric dentistry. What you’ll do Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Manage patient records and medical documentation using EMR systems such as Dentrix , ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment. Take and develop X-rays, utilizing medical imaging equipment to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term health. Perform vital signs assessments and maintain accurate medical records for each patient visit. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Basic qualifications Previous experience in a dental clinic setting with hands-on dental assisting skills. Proficiency in using EMR systems, including Dentrix or Eaglesoft, for managing patient information. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and the ability to engage with young patients effectively. Preferred qualifications Knowledge of medical coding and documentation processes related to dental care. Experience with 3D scanners for enhanced imaging capabilities. Strong understanding of infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
