If yes, we would love to meet you :) We are seeking a skilled, production focused, and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic dental office and make a positive impact on the oral health of our community. SCHEDULE: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday ( Friday are non-negotiable). Possible Tuesdays within a few month. Work schedule: Wednesday 8:30 am to 5 pm Thursday: 7:30 am to 5 pm Friday: 9:30 am to 4 pm Duties: ***We are a one year old startup practice, hence we are building our patient base. Our hygienist must be a stellar partner in providing excellent comprehensive exams and same day hygiene treatment. Must be willing to learn each step and aspect of our exceptional new patient experience. *** - Perform thorough oral examinations by capturing radiographs, intraoral scan (i-tero) and intraoral pictures, portrait pictures, perio charting, and collecting data for comprehensive exam with doctor, in an efficient manner. All new patient exams are performed in hygiene op, hence excellent customer service experience , relationship building, and production-focused efficiency is a must! - Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on dentist's predictable treatment planning, educate patient on various dental procedures, and act as a patient advocate. - Capture intra-oral scans on i-tero and educate patients on relationship between various periodontal conditions with orthodontic alignment of teeth. - Perform thorough dental hygiene treatment including prophy and SRP, while administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed, to ensure excellent patient experience. - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care -Call patients to confirm appointment, discuss next phase of treatment plan, and care call after procedures as needed. -Support in limited exam, ortho/Invisalign consults and follow ups, and teeth whitening procedures. - Assist the dentist during procedures, including charting and documenting patient information during comprehensive exam, followed by explaining the findings to patients in easy layman words. - Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems and eager to learn the PMS in efficient way. - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment - Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient care. Qualifications: - Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Florida, must be well versed with Florida Dental law and rules booklet. - Graduate of Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options - Proficiency in using dental software systems (Open dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and ability to adapt to newer software systems. - Excellent communication skills to educate and interact with patients of all ages - Ability to perform patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring - Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing purposes is a plus - Previous experience in DSO (Heartland, Operations, etc) with hygiene driven culture will be an asset.
