Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Past experience is recommended but not required- we offer onsite paid training Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry and endodontics. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using dental software systems (Dentrix) Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Manage patient scheduling, appointments, and follow-up communications. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care and enhance patient experiences. SKILLS Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods (on-site training available) Understanding of health & safety regulations (on-site training available) Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus (on-site training available) Basic computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is appreciate but not required Additional certification or training is appreciated but not required to begin (e.g. EFDA) Join our team and contribute to creating healthy smiles in a supportive environment!
