Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Northumberland, PA

Legacy Dental of PA, PC is looking for a motivated, passionate Dental Hygienist to join our practice in a full-time capacity. Attention to detail and the willingness to provide the best care to our patients is imperative, as well as help treat patients and promote good oral health within our practices. Utilization of all the latest technology, IO camera, digital x-ray, CBCT; to ensure the highest level of detection and communication to our patients. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of oral diseases and anomalies, possess the ability to educate the patient, and the desire to be a great teammate. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patientsâ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and digital charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice Benefit Conditions: Benefits package includes employer paid health insurance Full list of voluntary insurance package offered; Vision, AD&D, Long term and short term disability 90 day waiting period Only full-time employees eligible Work Remotely No Job Type: Full-time or Part-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Experience: Dental Hygiene: 3 years (Preferred) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygiene License (Required) Ability to Relocate: Northumberland, PA: Relocate before starting work (Required) Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Employee discount Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
