Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a vibrant, patient-focused environment. This is a joint general/pediatric office and would need someone capable of working on adults and children. We are a small growing office with very little turnover. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis procedures, including cleaning, scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures during general dentistry and pediatric dentistry appointments, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Utilize dental software systems- Open Dental and Weave. Take and interpret medical imaging (X-rays) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain a sterile environment by following strict infection control standards and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Monitor and record vital signs, medical history updates, and other relevant health information during each visit. Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as reviewing documentation for accuracy, updating medical records, and assisting with medical coding when necessary. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, infection control procedures, and medical records management. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy related to oral structures, and infection control practices is required. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not mandatory; however, comfort working with children is highly valued.
