Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. You will assist in various procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a smooth and welcoming environment for all patients. Your expertise in dental terminology and techniques will be essential as you help us deliver top-notch dental services, including pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. What youâll do Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use, adhering to infection control protocols. Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as needed while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records through electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, appointments, and post-treatment care instructions. Monitor vital signs and assist in chairside procedures while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence for patients. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to provide the highest level of care. Basic qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is essential. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Preferred qualifications Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Proficiency in medical coding and understanding of medical terminology is a plus. Familiarity with 3D scanners for advanced imaging techniques would be beneficial.
