Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth office operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting with dental procedures, managing medical documentation, and supporting patient education. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontics Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Manage medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners when applicable Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA standards Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling and patient flow when needed Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and current best practices in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, or similar platforms Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards in dental settings Experience with X-ray procedures and medical imaging technology including 3D scanners Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding Ability to perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques effectively Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and pediatric patient management Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Ability to maintain meticulous medical records and documentation for compliance purposes Competence in aseptic technique to ensure infection control standards are met at all times Join our team to provide compassionate care while advancing your skills in a professional environment dedicated to excellence in dental health services.
