Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate General Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education, in a professional and compassionate manner. The Associate General Dentist will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across a broad spectrum of general dentistry procedures, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards and best practices. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including patient assessment and diagnosis using medical imaging and dental terminology. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, encompassing procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. Utilize clinical skills in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Apply infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination. Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Operate and manage dental office technology including Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other electronic health record systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery within the practice setting. Stay current with advances in general dentistry, including dental fabrication techniques and new treatment modalities. Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution; license to practice dentistry in the state of employment. Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical documentation. Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and HIPAA compliance. Experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred. Skills in pediatric dentistry, pediatrics, endodontics (including root canal therapy), prosthodontics, oral surgery (including dental extractions), and dental fabrication are highly desirable. Ability to perform patient care with compassion while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
