Our busy periodontal practice is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant who is dedicated, compassionate, and eager to grow their skills in specialized dental care. About the Role: As a Dental Assistant at our practice, youâll play a vital role in patient care and clinical operations. You will assist our periodontist during procedures, ensure treatment rooms are prepared and sanitized, and provide a comfortable, positive experience for every patient. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and sterilize instruments, handpieces, and equipment following OSHA and CDC guidelines. Assist the periodontist during clinical treatments, including periodontal procedures. Escort patients to treatment rooms, make them comfortable, and provide support during procedures. Provide post-treatment instructions and follow up with patients as needed. Discuss treatment plan options with patients and answer basic questions to support their understanding. Educate patients on oral health, hygiene, and nutritional counseling. Monitor and maintain inventory, assist with ordering supplies. Perform general office tasks as directed by the dentist. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong computer skills and familiarity with dental software preferred. Dental assisting experience and certifications (including radiography/X-ray) are a plus, but not requiredâwe are willing to train the right candidate.
