Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Full-Time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop high-quality X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) with Eaglesoft, accurately documenting patient information, medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA standards. Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, explaining procedures using dental terminology clearly, and assisting with medical documentation and coding as needed. Conduct patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions in a friendly and professional manner. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control guidelines and sterilization procedures for all dental instruments and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless patient flow and deliver exceptional customer service from check-in to check-out. Stay current with advancements in dental assisting techniques, technology (including digital scanners), and industry best practices through ongoing training. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification required; additional certifications in radiography preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Skilled in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans; understanding of medical imaging protocols essential. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and assist with complex procedures like prosthodontics or endodontics when needed. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology; compassionate approach suitable for pediatric patients. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
